An excellent luxury villa a short distance from the beautiful beaches of St. Maxime and St. Tropez and the famous Gorges du Verdon. Situated on a small country lane that meanders up to the mountains lies our villa, surrounded by a 5000 m2 forest terrain with olive trees and high pine trees.

Nearest Airports: Toulon Hyeres (60 mins), Nice (55 mins), Marseille (90 mins).

DRAGUIGNAN

A bustling energetic town, centered around a well known clock tower, which is next to an Olive Oil Mill, and an open air theater. Lovely wide avenues with rows of plane trees, and impressive houses, as well as many museums including Musée des Arts et Traditions Provençales. Also enjoy a lovely walk on the way to Comps 1km (Promenade de la Fee) to see a well preserved dolmen.

This is a good town for shopping, with a very good food market at the Place du Marché (try local produce - olives, cheeses).

There are lots of activities for children. There is a giant subtropical swimming pool "Aqualand" for children, and on the terrain are swings to play with.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SURROUNDING AREA

Excursions: Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Gorges du Verdon, beautiful beaches.

Sports and activities: golf, tennis, rafting, mountaineering, horse-riding, sailing, fishing.

Nearby is Callas (16kms), on the top of a ridge, with chateau ruins (old Lavoir in village). Also see Flayosc with things to see year round, including 11c Campanile and church.

For fine sandy Mediterranen beaches go to Frejus (25 kms) and St Tropez (45kms) with its yachts, restaurants, discos and surrounding estates owned by film stars, and notables!

If you havent visited Cannes - do! Lots to see, shopping is somewhat on the expensive side, and if you come in May be prepared to mix the stars and film producers, as well as garish sports cars, and yachts! Then go to Nice for more substance, as its been lived in for 400,000 years. Go to Cimiez with its large park with olives trees and the Archeology museum, Matisse museum and the Franciscan Museum and Monastery.

Need natural drama - and the sparkling glories of the Med are not enough - take walks in lovely Maures forests, visit the stunning Gorges du Verdon - also called the Grand Canyon du Verdon. For a dramatic drive take the Route des Crêtes, commencing 1 km from La Palud-sur-Verdon.
